Spiritual Warfare

It is not the type of war that you prepare with weapons of man, but of the spirit, the emotional part of you.  The emotions and your attitude are both an inward and outward reflection of many things.  You can find spititual boot camp in one place…Ephesians 4:23 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind”

Ephesians 6:12 will give you only a small clue as to areas in which you may have conflicts “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ephesians is known as the foundation for spiritual warfare.  A place to read and think about what others say and do, then how you feel and respond to it.  You are told to be angry and sin not (4:26).  Then in Romans you are told how to overcome evil “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

You don’t start spiritual warfare, you don’t declare it, you find yourself in it and under attack.  You being aware changes how you think and why.  There is a earthly perspective and a heavenly perspective.  Man uses weapons of war, killing, lying, and so forth which is to be kept in check by Romans 13.  The outline for punishment and control of people.

The weapons of spiritual warfare are described in Ephesians 6:13-18 but the attack is about your peace, if they can get that, the emotional state of your spirit will be anger or depression.  You can have emotional scares based on memory like unforgiveness.  That will make you bitter…the Spirit wants you to reflect on the eternal.  To compare good and evil, light and darkness and understand what comes at you and why.

Persecution and oppression is of the world, not the church.  It is not of the spiritual mind but the carnal.  You are just passing through and sometimes the unseen are worse than the seen.  Some things you can change and others you can’t…knowing the difference is half the fight.  It isn’t you, it’s your faith, it isn’t anything you did, it is not because you did something but the nature of those who follow the “wisdom of cunning evil.”  That sentence came from the Dead Sea Scrolls.  Evil that thinks, evil that plots, and evil that has every weapon available to win, while you are just trying to maintain.

You cannot wish problems away and you can’t pretend like you won’t ever have any, but when they come, when you find yourself in it, when you don’t know what else to do.  Where else to go other than medication.   The thoughts you think and the words you speak.  I find myself there, I repeat to myself the words of hope, the words of promise knowing who I believe and why.

David had to encouraged himself and so do you.  Sometimes you will find yourself a victim, but it isn’t the point of you being a victim but how you handle the memory which will follow you.  To make a difference and be a difference to yourself and those who may have it worse than you.  Spiritual intelligence and applying it to mend yourself of every day scars called life…”

Believers and Death

We all have the same questions and concerns on this subject because we see the flesh die and understand death.  What happens to us and our loved ones when we die?  The earthly perspective and the heavenly perspective.  Man knows the things of man and speaks from a temporal understanding.

Paul wrote to believers who wondered about their deceased loved ones. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13 Paul writes “I don’t want you to be ignorant brethren concerning the dead, and don’t be sorrowful as the others do that have no hope.”  Paul then tells us in verse 14 those that are dead in Christ will return, we will meet them, and forever be with them (4:17)  Seeing yourself and others dead, but in the eternal spirit of which all Creation is of.  The Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters…that eternal Spirit.

History was changed from B.C. to A.D. for a reason…the Bible continues to be here for a reason.   Intelligent men of history spoke of the Bible…many men put their faith in the unseen, believeing everything seen, is made by what is not seen.

In 1 Corinthians 15:35-44 Paul tries to explain how this flesh must die so that the life (spirit) inside the body may be released.  He used grain as an example.  You put a seed into the ground that appears dead, but life comes from the seed.  It is planted a natural body and from it comes the spiritual body that is raised in power (eternal spirit) In 1 Corinthians 50-58 Paul wrote “this fleshly body must changed to enter the kingdom of heaven.”

King Solomon wrote much about the death we all would experience one day.  Ecclesiastes 12:7 “Then shall the dust (body) return to the earth as it was: and the spirit will return unto God who gave it.”  You can believe in whomever, or whatever you want But Ezekiel 18:4 clearly states “All souls are mine.”  Zechariah 12:1 writes “God formed the spirit of man in him.”

The same God who declared that states in Isaiah 64:4 “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.”  This states nothing on earth can give you personal insight by ear or eye.   King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 3:11 no man can discovered the work of God and all are the same “He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

We then come to Luke 16:19-31 where Jesus tells us about Abraham’s bosom.  It is meant to show the difference between those who lived various ways.  In verse 22 he states “carried by the angels” and in Mark 12:25 we read “For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels of heaven.”  The eternal spiritual body.  The promise of God and the reward of faith.  Only death itself will reveal eternal promises.  The evidence of things made should convince your being that man can only answer the things of men.  God…the things of God.

If I would die today, according to scripture, my spirit would go back to God who gave it.  My body would return to the dust.  I would be on one side or the other of the gulf.  Nobody can say where I would go except God.  A judgment of reward and promise of existence none of us could ever comprehend.

None of us see ourselves or loved ones in hell.  It was not created for us and Matthew 25:41 makes that clear “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”  Jude 1:6 states “And the angels which kept not their first estate (own positions) but left their own habitation (home) he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

God promises in John 5:24 that whoever believeth, even though he dies, yet shall he live.  We think about the future with our 401K plans but there is no guarantee you will make it to then.  There is a guarantee you will die one day.  That is a fact we all can agree on.  The eternal cannot be bought, it can only be accepted of denied, based upon you and nobody else.  King Solomon writes in 8:8 “No man has the power over his spirit, neither does he have any control over it on their day of death.”

When Jesus was on the cross he told the thief in Luke 23:43 “Today thou shall be with me in Paradise.  Today in Greek (4594) means now or today.  It does not mean next week or 1000 years.  Paul said to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.    Again we read in John 14:3 “And if i go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

That is where your loved ones are.  Your last day is the day you take your last breath and no man is promised tomorrow.  We have no choices in death…only life and I finish with Paul’s words who once ran, but then stood and faced his death.  He didn’t see himself dying, he saw eternity.  “Sorrow not about those who died because we have hope, and a promise, and will be forever with them.”  That is what faith is all about, eternal love with those who loved us.

Adam’s Rib…what you may not know.

We all know the story that comes from Genesis 2:21-23 “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh.  And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from  man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  And Adam said, This is now the bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.”

If you take the word “ribs” back to the Hebrew you will find it is trying to describe a curve.  The only thing to relate that to then would be a rib.  Human DNA…the curve of the strand that can only be seen by man’s technology.   You could say God cloned Eve from Adam.

The meaning of a word may change when you take a word back to the original language and meaning.  Those that translated the Bible used rib rather than curve.  As science an advance forward it only sees what God declared from the beginning.  It only verifies…

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”  Again, we are told no man can find the work of God, but science only sees the here and now…not the future.

What you don’t know about 666

We all are aware of that number from the Bible, it comes from Revelation 13:18 ‘Here is Wisdom.  Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six.”

Some call him Anti-Christ, the Son of Perdition, and the Devil.  His appearance lines up with the 6th Vial, 6th  Bowl and 6th Trump.  It is telling us it will be a man and that man will be known by the fulfillment of various events.  There is one more level of that number.

Our human bodies are made up of sub-atomic particles, Carbon 12 and atoms.  It is when you look inside a Carbon Atom that we find humans are made of 6 Protons, 6 Electrons, and 6 Neutrons.  That is what you might not know.

These are the proofs I find that convince me a higher intelligence is above ours…Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  All of us will find out if that is a valid statement.

Science is based upon what you see.  Faith says you believe everything seen is made by what is not seen.  Faith combined with knowledge and science.  It was Albert Einsten who stated “Science witout religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”

“Renew your mind…”

As the years roll by, you find yourself begin to question things.  Most of the information is taught to us or passed along to us.  We trust the sources and do not question any of it, as we are repeating what everyone says as accepted truth.

Our emotions, our thoughts and way of looking at the situation is different from everyone else.  Your perspective is limited to the present world and the accepted logic.  There is always some kind of medication to deal with it but the emotions and thoughts that remain.  There is peace missing and you know it.  You go along with the normal because that is the normal human thing to do.  It is accepted by all and taught that way, but something is missing and you know it.

Science calls it consciousness but God calls it your spirit.  Science breaks it down to sub-atomic particles, God call it the fruit of the Spirit.  Where science fails faith continues.  But sometimes both work together.

Albert Einstein stated he wanted to know the mind of God.  That thought or even the concept followed by E=MC2 meaning that energy is you.  When they first looked at an atom they said all that empty space in-between made them breathless.  There seems to be more unseen then seen at that level.

Space, time, and you.  1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”  What man has to say about it, and what God has to say.

The Creator of you understands you better than you do yourself.  The cares of this life, stress and so forth are mostly outside forces you have to deal with, cope with and accept.  It isn’t what you do to yourself…but what is done to you.  You will never answer as to whay people do what they do.  There are many reasons but the concern isn’t them.  You having peace when all hell is going on around you and inside you.

Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”  Any relationship begins with a process of learning about each others.  What is said and what isn’t said.  The mind and thoughts are eternal like the spirit within you.  People will use you, lie on you and so forth and you are left with the thoughts which transform into actions.  To renew your mind, renew the way you think in an eternal perspective.  You can’t change others but you can change the way you think.

Ecclesiastes 7:25 “I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness.”  Kings have spent time pondering the things you do and has society gotten better or worse?

The Boof of Ecclesiastes is a good place to start then Psalms as these people are writing about life…life experiences with God on their mind and heart.  They have endured hardships and dealt with things we could never image, but faith in something unseen, something eternal, something they put their faith in.  Something kept them going, something kept them looking up, something kept them seeing what others didn’t and it began the way it does for all of us.

To renew something means to make new…the way you think and see things.  I see death…but I don’t see that the end of me.  Science can only explain what is in your hand…not what is in your heart, mind, and spirit.  Actions and words show that.

Proverbs 28:5 “Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.”

You will never be able to eplain why others do what they do, but you will understand why you do what you do…
