Nature’s Entertainment

It was a hot summer’s day in July

The blue sky filled with the odd white fluffy cloud

I sat at the lakeside on a wooden bench

Feeling the sun beat down on my head and legs

The warmth felt good like the feel of warm buns from the oven

A warm breeze gently tossled my hair as I gazed at the lake before me.

A Mother goose and her babies swam by.

The water had no ripple effect

The babies looked so soft with their  down feathers.

Staying close to their Mother for safety

I could see  some sea gulls in the distance and hear their scream sounds

Feeling the long soft grass beneath my feet

I sat pondering the years gone past

The waves gently caressed the rocks at the lakes edge

I was thankful for this fabulous summer day!

Natures gift  of entertainment I am enjoying today!
